Do not fill in this form if you have never had a National Insurance number before. If you need a new National Insurance number then you must apply for one first.
What happens next?
After you complete the form our team will check it for errors and then post it to you for it to be signed and dated. You then need to return the signed application pack to the HMRC using the prepaid envelope. It can take 15 working days for the confirmation letter to be received through the post.
We are processing applications as normal. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic there are delays so you may not receive your confirmation letter within the expected timeframe. Thank you for understanding.
